The Navy Supply Systems Command  is reaching out to commands, agencies, and the greater acquisition community in the Norfolk area to share information about the Navy’s program.  The event is scheduled for 9:00 am-11:00 am on Tuesday, June 24 at the Norfolk Naval Station in Bldg C-9.

Topics will include an introduction to established strategic sourcing solutions and benefits in lead time and pricing; benefits of shared or leveraged contracts; meeting budget challenges; and background on some of the DoD and Federal-wide commodity initiatives including Navy’s new GBS contract, Education and Training Services, GSA’s OASIS contracts, and other projects still at the commodity team stage.
